1.Spam Killer
- Spam Killer is a relatively effective anti-spam program and it's easy to use. Spam Killer has incorporated a fairly new feature for anti-phishing. This is a feature that many other programs have not yet started using and it still in the early stages. Spam Killer also allows the user to add accounts and customize filters to be very specific. This is great for households with one computer and many users. Overall we were pleased at the features and design of Spam Killer, but it does lack a lot of the necessary tools you would like to see it have to help you fine-tune and eliminate the junk mail and spam you get daily. Spam Killer does have one annoying feature included in Spam Killer that you are unable to remove, and that is the McAfee Security Center, which is a part of the Spam Killer program.

* A POP3, MSN/Hotmail or MAPI email account.
Most Internet email systems use POP3 accounts.
Important: SpamKiller filters MSN/Hotmail, but currently does not filter AOL, Yahoo or other Web-based email.

2. CA Anti-Spam
- This software can protect all of your email accounts on up to three computers.CA only allows mail approved from your whitelist, all other Spam will quarantined until you have had the chance to review the material for approval. It has an optional verification protocol that will attempt to confirm that senders of quarantined messages are real people sending you emails, not just an automated Spam bot. Another feature of CA is their spoof-proof fraud protection which allows CA to automatically verify the authenticity of the message from people and companies using an industry standard digital signature. Unlike other Spam filter programs, CA lacked the ability to set up specific category filters and it would only allow you to add senders by email address, not by server or domain like some of the others.We were pleased with the quick results that the CA spam filter provides. The recent improvements in this product have made it easier for you to recieve the emails your want and block or file away the ones you do not, simply.
